We would like to invite you to not only get to know
the work and ministry that God has called us to do,
but also our family. Take a look into our past, and
see how the Lord has changed our location but our
lives through the wonderful work here in the
Philippines.

Get to Know the Basto Family
"I was born in the Philippines and grew up in a
Christian home.  I consider myself extremely
blessed for you see, more than 85% of all Filipinos
are devout Roman Catholic. Even my family was
Catholic before. However, God sent a special
messenger. Back during WWII, an American G.I.
was in the Philippines serving his country.
However, not only was he serving his country, but
he wanted to serve his Lord. He began witnessing
to Filipino natives, and my grandpa was in the right
place at the right time. He received Christ right
then and there and later led his whole family to the
Lord. I accepted Christ as my Savior and was
baptized at the age of thirteen. One American
missionary made a big difference in my life, and I
want to do the same for other Filipino people."
Ferdinand
"I, too, was blessed to be born and raised in a
Godly home. I grew up in the small town of
Hinton, West Virginia. It was there on Tenth Ave,
that I accepted Christ in my home. After
graduating from Pipestem Christian Academy in
1995, I had the opportunity to go on a summer
missions trip to the Philippines, through our
church. I had no idea that that trip would change
my life forever. There, in the middle of all the
creepy crawlies of the jungle, the Lord got a hold
of my heart. It was also there that I met the love
of my life, Ferd.  I ended up going back 4 more
times, before we moved here to work
permanently in 2003. The Philippines is now my
home and I look forward to spending my life
here to reach the Filipino people for Christ."

Sean
In 2001, God blessed us with a healthy, happy
little boy. We moved to the Philippines when
Sean was only 18 months old, so this is the
only home he knows. Sean loves living right
on the South China sea where he gets to enjoy
his favorite past time - swimming! He also
loves to draw and do art work.
In 2007, Sean accepted the Lord as his
personal Savior and was baptized right in the
ocean.
As many of you know, Sean has had 2 very
scary incidents happen to him here in the
Philippines where we are so thankful for God's
miraculous healing.
Sean is such a big help to us as he helps in
the Children's ministry and has a real serving
spirit.
